Vanity of Vanities?

Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity. (Ecclesisastes 1:2)

Baptism with style vs. Baptism with heart!!

Ultimately, only The LORD knows the submission of the heart.  I will say though, that for the cost of the wedding baptism cake alone, at least 500+ people could have new ESV Bibles in their hands.

$1 ESV Bibles

I am planning a project for distributing $1 Bibles to come later.  Please let me know if you would like to be involved or how you can do this in your area!  Let us be ever mindful to steward what resources we can for the furthering of His Kingdom, for where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also (Luke 12:34).  We should all take an honest evaluation of ourselves and ask: Are we being submissive to our Lord?  Further, are we being good stewards of the abundant resources he has blessed us with?  As my pastor, Mitch Maher says…there are an abundance of places in this world where you could place many of us, and we would have more Biblical knowledge than anyone within 150 miles…maybe 500 miles.  We have resources in abundance.  Just look at what these Russian missionaries are doing with nothing more than a frozen pond and a heart for Jesus.  Amazing.

Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

1 Peter 3:21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Romans 6:4 – Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Luke 12:33 Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
